People aren't taking marriage seriously anymore.
Some people are, but not all. Such as this couple who, right after their civil marriage ceremony, automatically started arguing. This says to me that they weren't made for each other to begin with, and that they most likely didn't know one another at all; though I don't know this for sure as it's not included in the article. It also doesn't say what they were arguing over. No matter what occurred to cause the argument, I still find this pretty pathetic."BERLIN - A Polish couple living in Germany fell out after tying the knot and decided to end their marriage on the same day."He said he never wanted to see her again and wanted an immediate annulment, and she said the same thing," a spokesman for police in the northern city of Hanover said Thursday.
Right after the civil ceremony Wednesday, the 50-year-old man began rowing with his bride and tried to cut her hair with a kitchen knife, police said."
Sometimes I wish people would just grow up. That includes all of the people who get five minute marriages, week long marriages, month long marriages. If you get divorced so soon after getting married, it's pretty obvious that you had no clue what you were doing or getting into. This is why people are urged to take their time so much!

WOW!!!
That's just ridiculous.
crazy! wow! i didn't think THAT kind of thing REALLY happened. hmm.. interesting. as far as taking your time.. i didn't... sorry. I met my wife in Oct of 2002 and we were married by april 2003. and even then, the only reason it was in april was because march was tooo full for us to get married. i know i know WE are the exception to the rule huh? I usually am...
@CrazyMaestro - Well that's like six months, that's better than just one. :P
Though I did know this kinda stuff happened. I've heard so many stories of people doing that, especially by watching Divorce Court.
@OmgaPhnx - It is, it definitely is. Married for less than a few hours and he's already threatening to chop her hair off. That's love!
@pillowpixies - LOL! lol! you watch divorce court!!?? silly girl... you make me laugh.. (-:
@CrazyMaestro - XD Yes, Yes I do watch divorce court. I love Judge Lynn Toler.
People think marriage is the fix-all for the problems in their relationship.
Also, there are far too many idiots in this world.
The End.
@hexogen - Agreed. The high amount of idiocy in the world does pose a problem.
@pillowpixies - Sometimes I think Hitler may have had the right idea. He just went with the wrong demographic. Instead of attempting to wipe out an entire race, he should have given a world-wide IQ test and then put all the stupid people in a swimming pool full of plugged-in toaster ovens.
@hexogen - Ohhh, clever. The only problem with that is: He would have had to do that every year. A yearly IQ test for people around the age of 18-21. Even smart people can produce dumb babies. We would have population issues, though, if they were to do that today. At least half the world would be wiped out.
@pillowpixies - That's true. But population issues are much worse if there are far too many people than if there are far too few.
@hexogen - Very good point.
some people....
